BG products Inc. Headlight restoration kit

This week we are reviewing BG products Inc. Headlight restoration kit part # CA875
Our test subject is a 2004" BMW Z3 with the typical yellow foggy headlights.
The BG kit is a 3 step process that comes with all the things you need to do so. Cleaner, sanding liquid, sealant, multiple wet/dry sand paper grits, handy wipes and sealant applicator. Oh and instructions!

The process is fairly strait forward and can be done at your home or done by your local BG dealer. After doing the first head light we noticed a few things that should be done not mentioned in the instructions so we have a few recommendations. 1: Do it in doors in a place with low or no wind like your garage when you are doing the sealant process dust will get in it and ruin the finish 2: Make sure it is warm with low humidity 3: Get some blue painters tape to tape off the surrounding area from scratches and liquids and 4: Sand it a few more times with the 2000 grit paper for a better finish. We also recommend letting the sealant dry for at least six hours it stays tacky for a long time.

Pros:
Good price as compared to replacing your head lights
Easy enough for you weekend warriors to do
 Looks great

Cons:
Takes a long time to dry
Kit needs more 1000 and 2000 grit sand paper
Kit should also include a small roll of painters tape

Overall we give this product 4 stars out of five it was a pleasure to use and highly recommend it.

Editor notes: The kit was stated as for one set of head lights but we found we had enough for at least 2 sets of headlights.

Brembo GT big brake kit 14"

We received our Brembo BB Kit "Model: 1M1.8024A" this week from Race technology Dist. and boy are we excited about it.  This kit is going on the Profusion Time trails race car so we will get first hand testing at the track. The kit came very quickly from Race Technology, over night for us. The packaging was meticulous and everything in its place. We wasted no time tearing it open.
The new 6 pot calipers and 14" 2 piece rotors are considerably larger than the factory 4 pot calipers and 13" rotors that came on the 2003" Nissan 350z track edition. The instructions are well managed, installation went very smoothly although we did have to remove the inner brake dust cover as it was to close for our liking to the new rotor. Overall product fit-ment is like an OEM production unit and would rate the installation (2.5) on a scale from 1-5 one being the easiest "novice" and five for "professional" installation only.

When we return from our shake down runs at Willow Springs raceway next week 5/24/11 we will give our final tally on the Brembo GT BB kit on a scale of 1-5 stars. Stay tuned for our next update and video.

Ok so made it back alive and initial testing is done. We were throughly impressed with massive brake bite and overall stopping power the brake setup gave us.     The Brembo BB kit decreased our stopping distance a whopping 20% which is exactly what we are looking for in a brake upgrade more stopping power.
Mind your car setup tire, weight and suspension all play a roll in braking, if do not have a tire that can grip the road then a large brake upgrade is almost useless. When we tested this kit the test car was fitted with Hoosier road race radial slicks.Your results may vary!
Profusions Product rating: We give this product a big thumbs up and 5 star rating. For overall fit-ment, design, quality and performance.
